RESERVOIR GEOLOGY
COURSE OVERVIEW & LEARNING OUTCOMES
This five-day training course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of reservoir geology, focusing on the geological processes, concepts, and techniques relevant to the exploration and production of hydrocarbons. Using a combination of lectures, case studies, and practical exercises in the classroom and on the outcrops, participants will gain insights into reservoir characterization, sedimentary facies analysis, petrophysical properties, and reservoir modelling. This training emphasizes the integration of geological, geophysical, and engineering data to develop accurate reservoir models and forecasts.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By understanding the geological factors influencing reservoir formation and distribution, participants will be equipped to make informed decisions in hydrocarbon exploration and production projects.
They will learn how to optimize drilling and completion strategies, predict reservoir performance, and maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
Participants will gain insight in reservoir modelling tools and learn how to use these to simulate reservoir behavior under various production scenarios
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate reservoirs effectively and make informed decisions in hydrocarbon exploration and production projects. They will be able to contribute meaningfully to reservoir management efforts, optimize production strategies, and maximize the economic value of hydrocarbon assets.
