MATURE FIELD OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT

COURSE OVERVIEW & LEARNING OUTCOMES

A large swath of hydrocarbon producing fields globally have passed plateau and in decline. This implies that more and more fields are mature and in their twilight years. With ageing equiments, low production and the need to operate these assets safely, O&G companies are placing more emphasis on operational efficenecy and effective mangement of these assets with low costs.

This course helps engineers, operational perosnnel and managers understand the multi faceted issues that could buffet an aging field. Partcipnats are made to make a connection of all the moving parts in managing mature fields towards their effiencet management. Issues like hydrocarbon lifecycle, asset intergirty, HSSE of mature assets, managing development and/or maintenace in an operating asset etc are discussed.
