The oil business is not new to upheavals. It has gone from days of glorious boom to frightening bust.
From the global oil crises of the 1970s leading to the birth of OPEC to surviving global economic recessions, the peak oil scare, COVID pandemic and now the Energy Transition. Managing an O&G business influenced by lots of externalities requires some adroitness. While such adroitness come with experience, managers and would be managers, stand a better chance when they have a better appreciation and understanding of the issues.
This training program mimics the establishment and accelerated growth of a new entry O&G company as it seeks to develop an integrated business by investing in oil and gas projects in a resource rich jurisdiction. Emphasis is placed on maximizing the performance of the organization by carefully selection of hydrocarbon assets to invest in, operating them, and managing the portfolio of investments, through the oil and gas value chain.
